Josh was a part of the Abderdeen squad to face UCD and Shelbourne in pre-season friendly in 2013. He was released by Aberdeen at the end of the 2013/14 season and signed for Kilmarnock soon after. He was with them when he was included in Northern Ireland's squad for the 2016 European Championship.
