Tokelo’s Biography
Tokelo is a striker who began his career in the Stars of Africa youth academy in his native South Africa. His early experience was made up of loan spells to various clubs in Africa and Sweden.
His first league experience was with Ferroviário de Beira and C.D. Maxaquene of Mozambique and in 2011 he had a spell at IFK Hässleholm in the third tier of the Swedish league. Tokelo managed to score ten times in just 12 league appearances for Hässleholm and on his return to Africa he was loaned to top South African side Orlando Pirates where he made 12 appearances over the 2011/12 season.
In August 2012 Tokelo arrived back in Sweden for a loan spell at Malmö FF. He scored a hat-trick on his competitive debut in the Svenska Cupen and also netted a late goal on his league debut against GIF Sundsvall. In April 2013 Tokelo signed a permanent deal at Malmö.
Tokelo’s international debut came in June 2012 in a World Cup qualifier against Botswana. He has since won 12 caps for his country and scored three international goals.
