Mark played underage football with Belvedere and was a member of Bray Wanderers' U19 side in 2011/12. He played with Scunthorpe United during their summer tour of Ireland in 2012 and was signed by manager Alan Knill in August 2012. His only taste of first team football with the Iron came in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Notts County on 4 September 2012 and he was released by new manager Brian Laws in January 2013.
In January 2013 Mark joined up with Roddy Collins at Athlone Town. He went on to play 26 times, scoring twice, in the league as Athlone won the First Division title. He was also nominated in the First Division Team of the Year. He re-signed for Athlone for the 2014 season and went on to play twenty-six times for Athlone in the Premier Division although they were relegated at the end of the season. In December 2014, Mark moved to Drogheda United under Johnny McDonnell.
Mark went on to make twenty-five league appearances for the club in the 2015 Premier Division campaign as Drogheda United were relegated on the last day of the season. In November 2015, Mark signed for Longford Town where he made 23 league appearances, suffering a second consecutive relegation as Longford finished bottom of the 2016 Premier Division. Mark scored once in the league that year, in the final game of the season, a 4-2 defeat to Shamrock Rovers at City Calling Stadium.
