Emma’s Biography
Emma Hansberry was part of the Castlebar Celtic squad for the inaugural Women's National League in 2011 and she played with the club for four seasons, leaving to join Wexford Youths ahead of their 2015/16 seaon.She commuted from her home in Sligo to Wexford for three seasons, eaving the Youths at the end of 2018.
She spent the next three seasons attending the University of Northumbria in England and when she returned to Ireland she signed for Sligo Rovers in January 2022.
She made her debut for Sligo against DLR Waves at the Showgrounds on 12 March 2022 and and scored her first goal against Bohemians two weeks later. She finished the season with one goal from 13 appearances and added three more goals from 21 outings in 2023.
Emma is a former Republic of Ireland international and won the first of her 2 caps against Hungary in 2016.
