Stephanie Roche started her career off at Dundalk City before moving to Raheny United. She was then a part of the Peamount United squad for the inaugural Women's National League in 2011. She made her debut with the Peas in August 2011 and scored four goals in the Champions League qualifying phase in 2011. She stayed with them for four seasons before moving to French club ASPTT Albi in June 2014.
However, she left the club soon after and ended up joining Houston Dash in February 2015. She had only a short stay there though as Houston Dash waived her in May 2015 due to only being allowed having a certain number of international players. She joined WSL club Sunderland in June 2015.
Stephanie spent three years with Sunderland, leaving in the Summer of 2018. In November of that year she went to Italy where she joined Florentia san Gimignano where she played until the end of 2019. In February 2020 she returned to the WNl when she signed for Peamount United.
For the next three seasons Stephanie played with the Greenogue club, forming a lethal partnership with feloow Irish international Aine O'Gorman. And at the end of 2022 both players left Peamount to join Shamrock Rovers who were returning to the national League for 2023.
Roche has represented the Republic of Ireland at U17, U19 and has previously been called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad. Ahead of the matches with Finland and Montenegro, she has 43 caps to her name.
