Susan Byrne was part of the Peamount United squad for the inaugural Women's National League in 2011. She made her debut with the Peas in May 2010.
Susan was a member of the Irish Under-17 Olympic Squad that competed in Paris, France, in 2003 . She attended St. Johns University in New York on a soccer scholarship from 2004-2008. Susan has participated in the Women's Champions League in 2011 and 2012 and she has represented Ireland at all levels, capped several times at senior level.
She was part of the Peamount team to win the inaugural Women's National League in 2012. She has won Players' Player of the Year with Peamount in 2010 and 2011.
Susan has previously played for Bohemians, Lourdes Celtic, St James Gate, St John's University and St Catherine’s.
Wears #5 in honour of former Peamount player Asho "speed of the Puma" O’Neill who had to retire due to old age/injury.
