Robbie’s Biography

Robbie is from Baldoyle in Dublin and played underage football with St Kevin's Boys before joining the Manchester United academy in January of 2008. Within two months he had made his first appearance for the reserve side but his only senior appearance came in a League Cup win over Newcastle United on 26 September 2012.

Robbie's league debut had come a year earlier in the first of two loan spells at Hull City where he made a total of 51 league appearances over the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. He finally signed a permanent deal with Hull on 8 January 2013 and helped the club win promotion to the Premier League at the end of that season. He made fifty appearances for the club over the next two seasons before joining Norwich City in July 2015.

In June 2021, Robbie left Burnley.

Robbie's international debut came on 11 September 2012 when he scored twice in a 4-1 win over Oman at Craven Cottage in London and, ahead of the 2016 European Championship, he has 24 caps and 4 goals to his name. He was included in the Republic of Ireland's final squad for the 2016 European Championship.
