Conor played underage football with Crumlin United before beginning his professional career at Chelsea in 2008. Loan spells followed at Plymouth Argyle, Notts County, Yeovil Town, Portsmouth and Crawley before he left Stamford Bridge in January of 2013.

He then spent five months at Leicester City before a free transfer to Southend United in August 2013. Another loan spell followed at Barnet and he left Southend in August 2015 to move to Conference side Boreham Wood.

In January 2017 Conor returned to Ireland to sign for Stephen Kenny at triple title winning Dundalk. During that season the FA in England banned him from football for 6 months worldwide due to betting offences committed there.

In April 2018, Conor signed for Limerick following the end of his betting ban.
