The Football Association of Ireland have released the fixtures for the 2013 Airtricity League Premier Division this afternoon.

The first series of games kick off on Friday, March 8th with the standout tie involving Derry City and Sligo Rovers as the FAI Cup holders entertain the League Champions in the Brandywell.

Last season’s other title contenders go head to head on the opening night as St. Patrick’s Athletic entertain Drogheda United.

New Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny will start the 2013 season against his previous employers as Shamrock Rovers visit Dundalk at Oriel Park.

Limerick begin life back in the Premier Division with fellow Munster side Cork City travelling to Thomond Park, the new home venue of Limerick F.C.

Bohemians open their campaign with an all Dublin affair as UCD make the short trip to Dalymount Park.

And finally, Bray Wanderers will be at home on the opening night as Shelbourne visit the Carlisle Grounds.

The first weekend of games will then be followed by some crackers as Shamrock Rovers face St. Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians in the space of four days which will then be followed by the Louth derby two weeks later on Friday, March 29th.

The final night of the season will see a clash of the Rovers once again in 2013, but this time Sligo Rovers will be the ones on the road to face the Hoops in Tallaght.

The FAI Ford Cup Final date has also been confirmed for November 3rd in the Aviva Stadium.
