Sweeney set to sign for Reading

Reading look poised to sign Bray Wanderers defender Pierce Sweeney, with the deal expected to be confirmed by the club tomorrow morning.
Sweeney, who sat out last week's game against Cork City due to injury, has been the most impressive fixture of an otherwise leaky Seagulls defence this season and the 17-year-old is set for a lucrative move to the Berkshire club.
He's in Reading today to undergo a medical.
Fresh from promotion back to the Premier League, Reading also have a history of poaching some of the League of Ireland's hottest young talent.
It was they who acquired former St Pat's and Cork City striker Kevin Doyle in 2005, along with the then unheard of Shane Long.
Noel Hunt has been at the club since 2008 and he too played in the league with Shamrock Rovers and briefly with hometown club Waterford United.
Another former Hoop, Karl Sheppard is on the books at the Madejski Stadium along with former Ireland U21 Jay Tabb and stalwart Ian Harte.
