Sunday was a busy day for Shamrock Rovers in the transfer market, with the club signing some of the league’s top young talent.
Hoops boss, Michael O’Neill has secured the signatures of Gary McCabe, Stephen O’Donnell and Karl Sheppard, and re-signed Enda Stevens.
Karl Sheppard (19) and Stephen O’Donnell (25) both spent the 2010 season at Galway United. While Gary McCabe (22) joins the Hoops after leaving Sligo Rovers at the end of the season as a free agent.
The trio have signed one-year deals with the Hoops, while Stevens (20) has agreed to remain at the club for the next two years.
O’Neill said: “We have been working hard since the season ended to secure the kind of players we want at this club. And these four players are exactly that. They are young, hungry players, who like to play football and want to win things.
“I am delighted to have added these players to our squad, and I’m sure they have great careers ahead of them at Shamrock Rovers.”
