Sligo Rovers are sure to excite their fans after confirming the signing of former Bohemians ace Joseph Ndo.

The Cameroon international played a pivotal role in Bohemians back-to-back league titles and will be a major plus to Paul Cook's side as they aim for a European place.

Having played for a total of nine clubs including St Patrick’s Athletic, Shelbounre, Shamrock Rovers and most recently Bohemians, he will be aiming to kickstart his career out west.

"I'm delighted to bring Joseph Ndo to the Showgrounds," said Cook after the signing was completed.

"He will excite our supporters and brings something extra to our squad. We worked hard to complete the deal, everyone knows the talent Joseph possesses and I'm looking forward to working with him."

Ndo has won three Premier Division titles and was also named PFAI Player of the Year in 2006 during his time with Shelbourne.

The midfielder has represented his country 21 times, including three appearances in the 1998 World Cup finals in France. Since arriving in Ireland in 2003 he has become known as one of the most entertaining players in the league and is a real handful for defenders with his flamboyant play.

Meanwhile, Sligo also confirmed that they will not be appealing DRC's ruling on the future of Chris Turner, which should leave the midfielder free to join Shamrock Rovers.
