Murray swaps Leeside for Tallaght

The 27-year-old proved to be a popular figure during his time on Leeside as he led the club to glory in the league, FAI Cup and Setanta Sports Cup, but felt he had to move on due to off-field matters.
Murray, along with several of his former team-mates, was owed outstanding wages by Cork, although his fight to get that money proved to be too draining and he ultimately decided to sever his ties with the club he had been with since 2002.
The reliable centre-back made his Hoops debut in the friendly win over Shelbourne last Friday and is expected to rival both Aidan Price and Craig Sives for a place in the starting eleven.
"Dan is an excellent professional and has won everything at Cork City," said Rovers manager Michael O'Neill.
"He's one of the top performers in this league and a player I've greatly admired.
"It's a testament to Shamrock Rovers that he's decided to come here and I believe he'll make a great contribution and will become a firm favourite with our fans."
Meanwhile, Rovers have confirmed that they will play host to a Celtic XI on Tuesday, February 23 at Tallaght Stadium.
