Two months out from the start of the SSE Airtricity League season and the draw for the fourth round of the 2016 Leinster Senior Cup has been made.
This stage of the competition sees the 12 SSE Airtricity League teams based in the Leinster region enter the competition.
One of these teams are defending champions Dundalk who of course won the 2015 edition of the competition. This time the Lilywhites kick off with a trip to Tolka Park to take on Kevin Doherty’s Shelbourne.
Last season’s runners up Shamrock Rovers will have to wait a little longer before they find out who they’ll face in the fourth round. The Hoops could face Collinstown or Liffey Wanderers, who are yet to fulfill their second round fixture.
It’s also possible for the Hoops to meet Leinster Senior League giants Killester United in the fourth round, as the winners of the game between Collinstown and Liffey Wanderers will go onto face Killester for the right to meet Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
The only all Premier Division affair will be played at the Carlisle Grounds as Bray Wanderers were drawn against St Patrick’s Athletic.
Elsewhere, Bohemians travel to United Park to take on Drogheda, Longford Town will meet either Thomastown or Drumcondra, Wexford Youths head to Athlone, Cabinteely will host either Tolka Rovers or Bluebell United, while UCD will meet either Crumlin United or Willow Park at the UCD Bowl.
The fourth round draw in full is:
Shamrock Rovers v Liffey Wanderers or Collinstown FC or Killester United
Longford Town v Thomastown United or Drumcondra FC
Cabinteely FC v Tolka Rovers or Bluebell United
Drogheda United v Bohemian FC
Athlone Town v Wexford Youths
