Extratime.ie Key player: Silvia Gee

The experience central midfielder, who was a key part of the Peamount United side which reached last season’s Women’s National League Cup final. Gee’s ability on the pitch along with the leadership skills she’s shown will have a huge impact on United picking up some early league points.

Extratime.ie One to watch: Jenny Clifford

The ex Wexford Youths midfielder has returned home to her local club and the Ireland under 19 star will be a huge part of Kilkenny success. Despite having not made her debut for her new club yet, Clifford is expected to have a huge impact when she graces the pitch in Buckley Park.

How they did last season:

League: Did not play

Women’s FAI Cup: Did not play

League Cup: Did not play

What to expect this season:

With 2015-16 being Kilkenny’s first season in the Women’s National League, the southeast side will take some time to hit their stride, Noel Kealy’s side have brought in a mix of both youth and experience as they prepare their assault on the league. If Kealy’s side can build some momentum they will be able to compete with sides like Castlebar, Cork and Peamount.

First game: Cork City Women (H) 11/10/15
