Defender Shane Guthrie is training with Galway United.

The 24-year-old centre back told extratime.ie: "I'm spending the week training with Galway and hopefully something will come from it."

Guthrie played 25 times for Cobh Ramblers last season in the Premier Division. He has two First Division titles to his name and was a regular in Pat Fenlon's Irish U23 team.

A proposed move to Dundalk fell through during January.
