Republic of Ireland defeated Andorra on Tuesday night in the Aviva Stadium in the Euro Group B Qualifier, the home team winning 3-1. Extratime photographers Andy McDonnell and Paul O'Donohue were there to capture the night in pictures.

Ireland made it two wins from two in their Euro 2012 qualifying group on Tuesday night as they defeated Andorra 3-1 at the Aviva Stadium to rise to the summit of Group B.

Some of the most welcome news this week was the inclusion of five League of Ireland players to the Ireland Under-21 squad to face Turkey tonight. Admittedly, it is due to extenuating circumstances that these five are present in the final squad, but – in an atmosphere of limited exposure and scant domestic representation on the senior side – it is nice to see some of the younger boys being given an opportunity on a higher stage.

Two more Airtricity League players have been drafted into the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA European Championship qualifier against Turkey. Shane McEleney (Derry City) and Daniel Kearns (Dundalk) will link-up with the squad later today and will strengthen a squad which has been hit by injury and suspension.
