LIMERICK

Limerick will be looking to continue their winning momentum as they take on Wexford in Markets Field on Friday evening (kick-off is at 7.45pm).

They currently lie second in the table after four wins on the bounce, with only 2 points separating the top six teams.

Most recently they beat a struggling Galway side 1-0 away from home, and will be expecting a similar result against a struggling Wexford side.

The club received some bad news last week as it was announced that Sean Russell, son of former Limerick manager Martin, will miss the rest of the season after he sustained a cruciate knee injury in their 2-0 league win over Athlone Town.

WEXFORD

Wexford currently sit bottom of the table on 3 points, 9 behind their opponents for Friday’s game.

Having picked up a surprise 2-0 win against Bray in March, they have narrowly lost their last two league games against Drogheda and Longford Town, who sit 3rd and 1st respectively.

It is a clear sign of improvement in both results and performances after a shocking start to the season which saw them concede 17 goals in their first four games, all the while only managing to score 3 themselves.

Striker Danny Furlong notched his first goal for the club since he began his second stint at the club, and a return to form for the club legend would be a serious boost for the Wexford’s hopes.
