Live Updates for Republic of Ireland -v- Northern Ireland

90' + 4'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

90'

Four minutes added.

85'

Good work from Enda Stevens, who runs into the box and is picked out by Hogan, and Saville has to concede the corner. From the resulting kick, the ball drops to Hourihane on the edge of the box, but he gets under his first-time volley.

84'

Substitution

Cyrus Christie replaces Darragh Lenihan for Republic of Ireland.

79'

Substitution

Scott Hogan replaces Sean Maguire for Republic of Ireland.

76'

Yellow Card

George Saville is booked for Northern Ireland.

76'

Ireland easily cut apart once more and the ball is bound for Jones before Lenihan makes an important clearance.

74'

Substitution

Jamie Ward replaces Michael Smith for Northern Ireland.

72'

Northern Ireland really should lead now as Lenihan is caught in possession badly by Jordan Jones, who races clear on goal and has just Randolph to beat, but again the big keeper bails out Ireland by saving with his feet.

71'

Substitution

Kyle Lafferty replaces Liam Boyce for Northern Ireland.

69'

How has Boyce not scored there. A drilled volley across goal has to be pushed out by Randolph and rebounds off the chest of Boyce. He looks set to turn it in but the ball runs away from him and the keeper clears.

66'

Substitution

Sean Maguire replaces Callum Robinson for Republic of Ireland.

66'

Substitution

Enda Stevens replaces James McClean for Republic of Ireland.

65'

Half a chance for Liam Boyce as he connects with Michael Smith's cross, but it's just too high for him and his header is over.

65'

Substitution

Patrick McNair replaces Corry Evans for Northern Ireland.

63'

Yellow Card

Conor Hourihane is booked for Republic of Ireland.

61'

Substitution

Jordan Jones replaces Gavin Whyte for Northern Ireland.

61'

A good run down the right from Seamus Coleman sees him beat Jamal Lewis and tugged back on the edge of the box, but referee Damien McGraith is not impressed.

59'

Half chance for Ireland as Coleman does well down the right and picks out McClean breaking into the box. He volleys across goal and Robinson tries to guide it on target, but he scoops it well over.

55'

Brady floats in a free kick from just inside the Northern Ireland half but this one is too long and easily caught by the keeper.

50'

Ronan Curtis has gone straight up top, with Callum Robinson dropping back to play off him.

49'

A rehearsed corner routine sees Savile pick out Davis on the edge of the box, but his first-time volley is sliced.

47'

Good defending from John Egan as he uses his strength to hustle Whyte off the ball when it looked like the winger had gotten the better of him at the edge of the box.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland has started.

46'

Substitution

Ronan Curtis replaces Callum O'Dowda for Republic of Ireland.

45' + 2'

Half Time

It is half-time between Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

45' + 2'

From the resulting corner, the ball finds its way out to Corry Evans on the left and he pulls it back to Michael Smith, whose shot from 30 yards isn't far over the bar.

45' + 1'

Corner Northern Ireland as they exploit the gaping spaces on the wings and Lewis chips in a cross that Egan has to put behind.

45'

Two minutes added on here.

44'

Northern Ireland finding lots of room again and Boyce holds the ball up before cutting back to Saville, who gets completely under his shot and clears the crossbar by a great distance.

41'

Much, much too easy for Nothern Ireland as a poor Lenihan pass under no pressure allows Dallas to break. He cuts inside in and curls a shot and this time finds the target, but it's a comfortable low save for Randolph.

36'

36 minutes and out for Glenn Whelan, who departs to a deserved standing ovation.

36'

Substitution

Conor Hourihane replaces Glenn Whelan for Republic of Ireland.

35'

Half a chance for Ireland as another good Brady delivery is headed goalwards by the back of Hendrick's head, but it's straight at Bailey-Peacock.

30'

Brady caught in possession in midfield and he's a little fortunate that Boyce overruns the ball and lets it out for a goal kick.

28'

Steven Davis takes the free kick but it doesn't clear the wall and bounces out for a corner, which fails to beat the first man.

27'

Northern Ireland free kick 25 yards out after Jeff Hendrick impressively manages to clatter Saville and Boyce in one movement.

25'

Half-chance for Stuart Dallas as he cuts out a loose pass from the captain and drives towards goal. He opens his body up and tries to bend a shot into the far corner, but it's way off-target.

24'

Chance for Craig Cathcart from a Northern Ireland corner as the ball drops to him in what seems like acres of space ten yards out, but he doesn't get a firm contact on his shot. He wasn't on his toes.

23'

Midway through the first half and it has to be said Northern Ireland have been the better side, albeit not by a huge amount.

23'

22'

From the resulting corner James McClean drives a shot well over, much to the amusement of the travelling fans.

21'

What a chance for Shane Duffy to open the scoring as Robbie Brady curls in a beautiful free kick and the defender has a free header, but he doesn't make proper contact and heads it into the ground. Bailey-Peacock tips it over to be safe.

19'

The visitors definitely the more comfortable in possession thusfar. Gavin Whyte, formerly of Crusaders and now of Oxford, looks particularly comfortable in space.

16'

Lenihan achieves the dubious honour of being the first into the book in this friendly as he bodychecks George Saville as he runs free down the left. Clear booking, although a mystery why Smith wasn't booked for that bad tackle earlier.

16'

Yellow Card

Darragh Lenihan is booked for Republic of Ireland.

15'

Break in play following a nasty clash of heads between Liam Boyce and Seamus Coleman, which has drawn blood from both players.

14'

Big chance for Northern Ireland as Ireland are all at sea in defence, and Boyce plays Whyte in one-on-one, but his touch is hesitant and a relieved Randolph is out quickly to save with his feet.

11'

Painful-looking challenge from Michael Smith on Callum O'Dowda as he goes in late and catches the midfielder on the ankle. He's ok though.

9'

Bit of a proxy war going on any time McClean gets the ball - some away fans boo him, and the home fans in turn turn up the dial on their cheers.

8'

Callum Robinson has the first sight of goal for either side, but his shot from the edge of the box is deflected wide.

7'

Northern Ireland have had most of the ball so far but, bar a couple of crosses, haven't really threatened.

4'

An early chance for Gavin Whyte to show what he can do on the right, but his cross is blocked and out for a corner. Jamal Lewis then sees his cross put out for another by John Egan... and Egan concedes another from the resulting set piece.

3'

Ireland have lined up with three at the back as expected, with Coleman and McClean wing backs. Northern Ireland in a more orthodox 4-2-3-1.

1'

GAME ON!

The game between Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland has kicked off.

0'

Glenn Whelan captains Ireland as expected, while Michael Obafemi and Sena Maguire take their places on the bench. Bailey Peacock-Farrell continuers to be preferred in goal for Northern Ireland.
