Live Updates for Waterford -v- Bohemians

90' + 3'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Waterford FC and Bohemians.

90' + 2'

Bohs are doing everything in their power to get forwards now and there are a fair amount of nerves in the press box among the Waterford corps, but time is ticking away.

90'

There will be three added minutes at the end of the game.

87'

Dylan Watts plays a one-two on the edge of the Waterford box but his effort on goal, which is asved by Vigouroux, loses some punch as he's being crowded out as he shoots. Impressive determination from teh Bohs man though.

83'

Bohs so close to being level. A corner on the left was drilled out to the edge of the D where Dylan Watts, all on his own, hit a first-time dipping volley that cleared the Waterford bar by no more than in inch or two.

82'

Some decent pressure from Bohemians now. Waterford are defending well but they can't quite clear their lines,... the ball just keeps coming back.

81'

Yellow Card

Courtney Duffus is booked for Waterford FC.

79'

Substitution

Dean O'Halloran replaces Derek Daly for Waterford FC.

78'

And there it was, a very good chance for Bohs to level. A ball from the left was misjudged by Vigouroux and it came through for substitute Eoghan Stokes at the back post. But his header lacked punch and it fell into the Waterford keeper's arms.

77'

Bohs look like they've run out of steam now. There has just been a short passage of play where Waterford gave them the ball twice and Bohs just gave it away again. Can they muster the energy for a come back? Perhaps but it doesn't look likely.

75'

Substitution

Eoghan Stokes replaces Paddy Kavanagh for Bohemians.

74'

Cheers from the home crowd as Dan Casey's diagonal ball sails straight out of play. It's not hard now to imagine this being the final score and the Waterford fans can sense that. The three points are in view...

71'

Substitution

Ian Morris replaces Oscar Brennan for Bohemians.

69'

Another crack at goal from Holohan. He caught it nicely from 25 yards out but it took a slight deflection on it's way towards goal which took the sting out of it. Supple, on one knee, gathered it to his midriff. But the Blues are now well on top.

67'

Good work from Gavan Holohan to dig out a cross from the end-line having chased a ball over the top. Bohs keeper Supple claimed it but decent play all the same.

64'

Yellow Card

Karl Moore is booked for Bohemians.

62'

A lovely shot on the turn from Courtney Duffus but Supple got across to hold the ball. Since the goal Bohemian's have been a bit deflated and Waterford have started to look much better.

59'

Substitution

Dinny Corcoran replaces Rob Manley for Bohemians.

58'

Gavan Holohan rolls a shot inches wide of the Bohs goal after some very nice build up play from the home side. Aborah in midfield has been very good for the Blues tonight.

56'

Derek Pender gets a decent outswinging cross into the Waterford area but it is too far ahead of Rob Manley and Vigouroux collects easily.

54'

The official attendance at the RSC tonight is 2,284

52'

The opening goal came against thr run of play. Since the restart it is Bohemians who have been the most impressive, but they got caught cold on the break and are now staring down the barrel of a third successive 0-1 defeat.

51'

GOAL!

Sander Puri scores for Waterford FC. Cortney Duffus crossed from the right and there were two Waterford players lined up on the six-yard box. The first lad, not sure who it was, got a faint touch but it was Puri who bundled it over the line.

48'

Bohs have been on the front foot in the opening stages of the second half, but nothing's sticking for Rob Manley up front. Dave Webster has been excellent in Waterford's back line but you would want Manley to cause a few more problems for the Blues.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Waterford FC and Bohemians has started.

46'

Substitution

Sander Puri replaces Bastien Hery for Waterford FC.

46'

Looking across the fixtures, eight of the twelve teams playing tonight have failed to score.

45' + 3'

Half Time

It is half-time between Waterford FC and Bohemians.

45'

There will be three added minutes at the end of the half.

45'

Paul Keegan sends a free into the Bohemians area and Courtney Duffus gets up to fire a header goalwards. But it was too high and Shane Supple won't have been too concerned by it.

40'

Another lovely bit of skill from Aborah who chipped a ball diagonally onto John Kavanagh's toe, wide on the Waterford right. His cross was so close to the goal that it might almost have gone in. Instead it just about cleared the bar and skiddded acros the roof of the net.

37'

Stanley Aborah plays a super ball through the middle for Holohan but the midfielder got the ball stuck under his feet and the roar of expectation from the crowd turned to anguished howls as the Bohs defence closed down the space. Holohan battled his way towards the corner then played a ball back to Hery, who completely miscontrolled it with that any lingering hopes of a goal were gone.

35'

Dave Webster is playing very well at the heart of the Waterford defence. He's just made another excellent interception as Bohs threatened to split the back four and send Manley clear.

32'

And now a superb saving tackle from Webster at the other end to deny Rob Manley. It hasn't been terribly impressive game, but it's been great fun. Lots going on and either team could score, although you would have to say Waterford have been on top.

31'

Another cross from Waterford's right flank, this time from substitute John Kavanagh, but the high, curling ball was too far from any blue-clad poacher and Supple plucks the ball out of the air without any great drama.

29'

Oh Waterford, will you come to regret that! A super ball into the danger zone from Stanley Aborah arrived at the back post with Gavan Holohan all on his own... but his first time attempt from close range went straight into the arms of Shane Supple. A glorious chance, spurned, and we're still scoreless.

28'

Substitution

John Kavanagh replaces the injured Rory Feely for Waterford FC.

26'

A person has been spotted smoking in the stand here at the RSC, and has been duly shamed by the stadium announcer. Down with that sort of thing!

24'

Dear oh dear, Rob Manley will have nightmares about that one! A great pull back from Karl Moore on the left and it rolled in front of the Bohs striker... but he miskicked and a great opening drifted away. Bohs did finally get a shot off but Oscar Brennan's attempt was deflected away from the target.

21'

Dylan Watts almost played Rob Manley through for Bohemians but Dave Webster did well to get between the ball and the man and guide the ball back to his keeper. Vigouroux then cleared, albeit with a little less composure than the home crowd would have liked.

19'

Both injured players are up now and it looks like they will both be okay. But sure it was a grand wee interlude. We will restart with a drop ball at the feet of teh Waterford keeper Vigouroux.

18'

A clash of heads inside the Waterford box and the physios pelt on as one from each side lie prone on the grass. This could take a while as there's not a lot of movement from either injured player.

16'

Waterford really starting to pass the ball around now. Paul Keegan is an excellent anchor, getting passes away quickly to feet, while Hery in the middle looks keen to get something going.

12'

Paddy Kavanagh drills the ball into the Waterford net, but the flag was up for off-side - we knew it, he knew it, the crowd knew it... so no drama as the net billows.

9'

Another very good opening for Waterford a sDuffus is played through again. But teh striker slipped as he tried to turn towards the danger area and got swallowed up by the retreating defence.

7'

Very hard to read the numbers on the backs of the Bohs shirts. White on black should be easy but no, style dictates that all the double-digits be printed single thin... User Centred Design, lads!

5'

Bohemians respond via a free kick to the right of the Waterford box. It's flighted in to the middle where Oscar Brennan got on the end of it, only to head weakly straight at a covering defender. A good chance for the visitors!

3'

Wateford have the first attempt on goal but it really didn't go anywhere near the goal at all. Dufus was played through down the right, he cut inside, and then hoiked the ball high over the end-line.

1'

GAME ON!

The game between Waterford FC and Bohemians has kicked off.

0'

Here come the teams. We're just about to get going at the RSC.

0'

We're sat next to the booze here in the RSC - Waterford's Player of the Month award is two bottles of Dungarvan craft beer in a posh box. Nice. There's also a six-pack of similarly elegant beer, no idea who that's for.

The pitch looks great here and the weather, while a bit breezy, is otherwise grand. Twenty minutes until kick-off here and the crowd is building.

0'

Bohemians started the season on a high with a 3-1 win at Dalymount over arch rivals Shamrock Rovers. Since then, though, they ahve gathered just one point from a possible nine, and will be looking to gat their mojo back tonight.

Bohs make three changes from Friday night's defeat to St Patrick's Athletic. Karl Moore, Paddy Kavanagh and Rob Manley come in while Keith Buckley, Eoghan Stokes and Dinny Corcoran all take a place on the subs bench.

0'

What a cracking start to the season it's been for newly promoted Waterford. Only one defeat from their opening four matches and that was away to the Champions, Cork City. A fourth win tonight could see the Blues top the table if results eslewhere go their way.

Waterford make one change from their 2-1 win away in Sligo with Derek Daly coming in for Dean Walsh who drops to the bench.
