Live Updates for Cork City -v- Shamrock Rovers

90' + 4'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Cork City and Shamrock Rovers.

90' + 4'

Rovers will be disappointed to leave here tonight with nothing. They pressed hard but lacked the cutting edge which had seen them score twelve goals in recent games. They now play away to Limerick on Friday before the re-scheduled Bohemians game back here nest Monday.

Good night from Turners Cross.

The work-rate of Shamrock Rover's mid-field so has nullified their opponents so far. An area of concern for the home side. They have been unable to really get their attacking players into the game

28'

A decent one-two between Cummins and Sadlier results in the latter sending over a cross that is over the head of Barry McNamee

24'

Snap shot by Sean Kavanagh whistles just wide

22'

Ball played upfield by Sheppard allowing Graham Cummins to run on to it. Kevin Horgan is well off his line but just manages to get to it first before the City striker.

GAME ON!

The game between Cork City and Shamrock Rovers has kicked off.

0'

Good evening and welcome back to Turners Cross. This is Philip Morrissey providing your updates for this occasion. The home-team will be looking to bounce back after defeat last time out away to Dundalk. Tonight will not be any easier however. Shamrock Rovers have recovered from a slow beginning and been on the goal march recently. They are justifying pre-season expectations of a title challenge.

John Caulfield has been forced to make two changes. Alan Bennett and Steven Beattie miss out due to injury being replaced by Sean McLoghlin and Conor McCarthy respectively. Stephen Bradley saw Ethan Boyle miss out due to an ankle injury, whilst Greg Bolger also misses his return to Lee side.
