No stoppage time from referee Rob Rodgers as Dundalk end the night comfortable 2-0 winners. Stephen Kenny's side always seemed in control. Paddy Barrett's first half goal was a supreme strike which put the Lilywhites in firm stead for the remainder of the contest. Shels pushed and pushed, appearing threatening on the counter but were put to the sword following Patrick McEleney's second half finish. The holders now go into the next round of the Leinster Senior Cup. Thank you for joining us here at Extratime for tonight's coverage. Goodnight and farewell.
