Well folks, Dundalk take a 2-1 lead back to Oriel Park, where The Second leg of this Semi-Final will take place on the 15th of April. I've been Josh Dolan. Thanks for following!
FULL TIME!
The game has ended between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk.
McCabe is fouled 20 yards out from goal, but the resulting Sean O'Connor free kickis deflected into the grateful arms of Cherrie.
The Hoops are pushing forward at every opportunity now, as they try to level the tie.
GOAL!
Eamon Zayed scores for Shamrock Rovers. The Hoops finally break down Dundalk, as Gary McCabe wriggles his way into The Lilywhites penalty area, before crossing the ball low across the six yard box where Zayed pouced, to make it 2-1.
Substitution
Substitution
The Hoops just can't seem to break The Lilywhites down. All of The Hoops efforts have been from long distance with none of them being of great significance.
Bayly's shot is deflected over by Brian Gartland for a corner, however the resulting corner comes to nothing.
Oh wow! It should have been 3-0. A fantastic cross from Ruadhri Higgins picks out the usually reliable Hoban, but the substitute fires wide from a couple of yards out.
The half time introduction of Ronan Finn has added a much needed degree of creativity to the Rovers midfield, however still no real chances for The Hoops.
Substitution
It could have been three! Goal scorer Richie Towell plays in David McMillan who finds himself in space behind The Hoops back four, however his goal bound shot is well saved by Hyland in The Hoops goal.
Substitution
The change from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 has helped The Hoops. It has given them a chance of nullifying the threat, posed by Dundalk's midfield.
Substitution
Yellow Card
Robert Bayly is booked for Shamrock Rovers. Referee, Paul Tuite has simply lost patience with Robert Bayly and booked him for persistent back chat.
Hyland as not looked settled at all, yet another one of his clearances go into to touch!

The penalty incident came about after Chris Shields disposessed Karl Sheppard in The Hoops half, before switching a diagonal ball to Mountney, who was of course fouled by Conor Kenna.
PENALTY SCORED!
Richard Towell scores for Dundalk from the penalty spot. And he does it again! Mountney beats Kenna, before being taken down by The Hoops captain. The ever reliable Richie Towell then beat Hyland from 12 yards for the second time.
The Lilywhites have truly been the dominant force in this first half . Dundalk have constantly threatned The Hoops goal, while the time Rovers have spent in Stephen Kenny's side's half has been minimal.
A cheeky attempt by Richie Towell, as he beats Luke Byrne before attempting to chip Craig Hyland, but The Hoops Keeper collects the ball with ease.
The Hoops are at sixes and sevens, the pace of McMillan has been simply too much for Trevor Croly's side.
PENALTY SCORED!
Richard Towell scores for Dundalk from the penalty spot. Towell Scores from the penalty spot after Hyland took down Lilywhites Striker, David McMillan in The Hoop's penalty area.
Yellow Card
