FULL TIME!

It's all over here in Richmond Park as Shamrock Rovers are crowned the 2013 Leinster Senior Cup Champions after a first half goal from James Chambers proving to be the only thing that could seperate these two sides.

90' + 1'

So close for Pats as a corner causes a penalty box game of tennis to ensue with the ball bouncing around at a frantic pace before eventually trickling wide.

90'

3 minutes have been added on here in Inchicore.

89'

Yellow Card

James Chambers is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

88'

Chris Forrester however blasts it over Barry Murphy's crossbar.

87'

The Hoops right back is back on now as Pats are awarded a free kick right on the edge of the box.

86'

Slight delay here as Conor McCormack is down in the middle of the pitch in what seems like alot of pain.

85'

Substitution

Cian Kavanagh replaces Stephen Rice for Shamrock Rovers.

82'

Chances are non existant at the moment as Rovers appear to be less than ten minutes away from lifting the Leinster Senior Cup.

79'

Substitution

Ronan Finn replaces Sean O'Connor for Shamrock Rovers.

75'

Yellow Card

Sean O'Connor is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

72'

Substitution

Conor Kenna replaces Conan Byrne for St. Patrick's Ath.

69'

Dreadfull miss by Gary McCabe as Shane McFaul coughs up possession allowing the Hoops man a clear route to goal but somehow McCabe pulls his one on one chance wide.

68'

This certainly hasn't been a second half to remember with chances hard to come by.

63'

Substitution

Jake Kelly replaces John Russell for St. Patrick's Ath.

58'

Yellow Card

Billy Dennehy is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

55'

Great strike from Billy Dennehy which foces Gilmartin to dive across his goal in order to keep the score at 1-0

50'

Pats enjoying a prolonged spell of possession but Rovers are pressuring them high up the pitch.

46'

Second Half

The second half between St. Patrick's Ath and Shamrock Rovers has started.

46'

Substitution

Shane McFaul replaces Greg Bolger for St. Patrick's Ath.

45' + 1'

Half Time

That;s it for an entertaining first half with the Hoops leading by one goal to nil. I shall talk to you in 15

41'

Conan Byrne is destroying Danny Ledwith down this right hand side as once again he beats the Rovers full back before putting it a cross that found the head of Durrad who again fails to beat Murphy with the Rovers keeper getting a touch to send the ball over the bar. The corner is then taken short to Chris Forrester who picks out Durrad who for the fourth or fifth time in this opening half can't keep his header down.

38'

It's all hapening now as Pats are now the team on top. From that resultant free kick Conan Byrne tried his luck from 30 yards out forcing Barry Murphy into a fantastic acrobatic save. The keeper tipped the shot just over the bar but the danger wasn't over there for Rovers as from the corner Conan Byrne once again played in the ball that found the head of Kenny Browne who like Durrad before him failed to keep his header the right side of the crossbar.

37'

Yellow Card

Stephen Rice is booked for Shamrock Rovers.

36'

Great play from Pats as finally they muster up a solid chance of their own. After some neat back heels and flicks down the right wing Greg Bolger has a snap shot that is blocked and then cleared by the Rovers rearguard.

33'

Conan Byrne once again demonstating his fantastic crossing ability as his free kick finds the head of Durrad who forces Barry Murphy into a fantastic save to deny the Pats front man.

30'

Sean O'Connor with the resultant free kick that beat the wall but also beat Gilmartin's far post with the Pats shot stopper well beaten.

29'

Yellow Card

Aidan Price is booked for St. Patrick's Ath.

27'

Conan Byrne with a great run down the wing there to beat Danny Ledwith. The ball from Byrne was just as good as it found the head of Sean Hoare but the young defender couldn't keep his header down as it went some distance over the away teams crossbar.

25'

Pats really struggling to string more than three or four passes together. It looks like this will be Rovers game to lose.

20'

GOAL!

James Chambers scores for Shamrock Rovers. Chambers fires in a goal from just inside the box after a Billy Dennehy free kick was deflected into the path of the midfielder.

18'

Substitution

Gary McCabe replaces Karl Sheppard for Shamrock Rovers.

17'

Karl Sheppard is off the field recieving treatment at the moment and it looks like he may not be able to continue. I am not fully sure what his injury may be.

12'

Rovers have enjoyed the majority of the early possession. Seeing as this is only the Leinster Senior Cup final it is worth pointing out that a decent crowd has assembled itself in Richmond Park for this tie although it should also be pointed out that Hoops boss Trevor Croly has failed to make the game for unknown reasons.

7'

Rovers continue to look the better side as this time Billy Dennehy tries to work some magic with this quick feet before shooting just wide of Rene Gilmartin's post with the Saints keeper at full stretch.

4'

Rovers with the games first major chance as Stephen Rice attempts to pick out Eamon Zayed at the back post but the ball is just slightly overhit as Zayed attempts to slide in for what surely would have been the games opening goal.

1'

GAME ON!

Eamon Zayed of Shamrock Rovers gets us underway in the 2013 Leinster Senior Cup Final.

0'

Ten minutes to kick off now as the Saints hope to lift their second trophy in just three days in front of the Richmond Park faithfull.

The teams are in and as suspected both managers have opted to ring the changes especially with the Hoops having one more important game to come next Friday at home to Sligo in the race to secure European football. I shall start inputing the teams for you to view along the side of your screen now.

My name is Gareth O'Reilly and I will be your updater for this afternoon's game. The teams have just taken to the pitch and with both managers expected to name weakened line ups it should prove to be a great opportunity for the fringe players from both squads to have a run out.
