Osborne hits it in and Liam Burns header goes over the bar!

107'
Cherrie hits a long ball forward but it's headed out for a throw in. Dundalk however win a free just outside the box. Can they do something here...

90' + 4'
So we are going into Extratime now!

90' + 4'

FULL TIME!

Two periods of extratime with 15 mins each way.

90' + 3'
Tiarnan Mulvenna could have been the hero, he took down a long ball and rather than try and run at goal he snapped his shot wide.

90' + 1'

Yellow Card

Burns carded for a foul on Hynes.

90'
Four minutes added time, looks like we are going for extratime and then possibly penos.

86'
The Drogheda midfield has gone AWOl while Dundalk are constantly trying to play the killer pass, they should try and work something together.

83'
This game is end-to-end but It's the home side who look more in the ascendancy now.

82'

Substitution

Dundalk make their final sub, Shane O'Neil is on for Stephen McDonell

79'
Now, i for one, am not someone who regularly criticises referees, but Derek Tomney is killing this game. needlessly blowing for anything which slightly resembles a foul.

76'
Stoppage in play as John Mountney and a Drogheda player clashed heads. Mountney came off the worse.

75'
Great defensive work from Dundalk, Peter Hynes wsa trying to bring a ball under control in the box but he wasn't given anytime to compose himself as the Dundalk defender stayed on their feet and forced the ball clear.

73'

Yellow Card

Stephen Quigley goes into the book for a rash tackle.

73'

Substitution

Mark O'Brien is replaced by Dean Marshall for Drogheda.

72'
Long ball to the back post is met by Michael Rafter and the Lilywhite heads just over.

71'

Yellow Card

Chris Shields is booked for Dundalk.

67'

Substitution

Mick Cooke goes 4-4-2 now, with Peter Hynes coming on in place of Jonny Breen.

65'
Great passage of play there, Ryan Brennan claims the ball in the Drogheda defence and storms forward before curling a beautiful pass right into the pass of Mulvenna who stayed just onside and the former Dundalk player made it into the box, eight yards out, and just as he was pulling the trigger Luke Danville can sliding in to put the ball behind. Crys for a penalty were correctly waved away, great defence.

63'
Dundalk look like a new side here, playing the ball confidently and Mark Griffin is dictating the play. Drogheda on the other hand have wilted, Trimble skewed a clearance to Griffin who should have attempted a shot but chose to pass.

62'

Substitution

Mick Cooke has seen enough and Ryan Brennan is coming on for Cathal Brady

60'
Drogheda look rattled and none more so than Stephen Trimble, the keeper is in two minds about whether to go or stay for balls.

58'

GOAL!

A long punt out wide by Mountney picked out Mark Griffin and the Dundalk player hit the ball on the volley leaving Trimble rooted to the spot. Great equaliser, game on.

54'
Cherrie is single handedly keeping his side in the game, a great reflex save there from a Drogheda volley which he saw late.

53'
Mark O'Brien foiled by the legs of Peter Cherrie, Brady squared the ball in the box but with all the Drogheda players standing with their backs to the wall it was played out to O'Brien who drilled a low shot and Cherrie got down to save.

49'

Yellow Card

Foley is the first in the book for obstruction, a harsh card to say the least.

48'
Heart in mouth time for Dundalk, Cathal Brady plays a ball into the box which Cherrie misjudges and the keeper comes to collect but Tiarnan Mulvenna beats him to it, unfortunately for Drogheda the striker was forced too wide and his cut back is grabbed by the keeper.

46'

Substitution

One change at the break, Dundalk have withdrawn Robert Waters for Conor McDonald.

46'

Second Half

Second half is under way here in Drogheda.

45' + 3'

Half Time

The ref blows his whistle again, but to signal the end of the half. Mick Cooke will be the happier of the managers, but not by much.

45' + 2'
It's 17-5 in fouls, Drogheda are hardly dirty tonight but Derek Tomney is refusing to let this game flow.

45'

Substitution

Dundalk make the first change of the game just before half-time. Derek Foran is replaced by Liam Burns. More enforced than tactical.

43'
Bit of a mix up between Paul Crowley and Trimble in the Drogheda defence, the keeper screams for the ball but the defender decides to head clear and they nearly take each other out, the ball eventually spills to Rafter who fires over from the edge of the box.

37'
Michael Rafter is working hard on the right wing, he loses out to Quigley but manages to tussle with the defender and regain possession before making for the byline and playing in a low inviting ball across the face of the goal, but no one was up to take advantage and the ball skews through to Paul Walsh who wastes his time of the ball.

36'
Ah fickle football fans, 'Foley you're useless' the cry after the midfielder was played in at the back post but skews his effort harmlessly wide.

33'

GOAL!

Eric Foley does his best David Beckham impression, from 25 yards out the midfielder lifts his free over the wall and it dips right into the top corner leaving Cherrie stranded.

33'
Jonny Breen forces Cherrie into a good save, the midfielder gets the ball on the edge of the box before turning and shooting.

29'
Dundalk's Foran gives away a needless free in a dangerous position, Eric Foley whips the ball in to Alan Byrne at the back post, but Foran makes up for his mistake and clears.

27'
Stephen McDonnell takes a corner from the left, won by some good play by Rafter and the defender floats in an inviting ball which is flicked on by Derek Foran and all it needed was a touch at the back post, but luckily for the hosts the back stick was empty and Drogheda clear.

25'
Cherrie has his first real stop to make as Johnny Breen gets down the right wing and crosses in but with Mulvenna threatening the Dundalk keeper gets to the ball first.

22'
Another chance for the Boynesiders here, a long ball from the back by Crowley looked to be heading nowhere until Mulvenna got between two Dundalk players and got it, the striker then started a series of passes which saw Quigley and Mark O'Brien involved as a cross to the back post found Eric Foley and the defender hit the ball on the volley but with Cherrie beaten it narrowly went wide of the far post. Should have been 1-0

18'
Drogheda are continually trying to pick out Mulvenna who's been made to run a lot.

13'
First chance of the game galls to Drogheda, Stephen Quigley picks out Mulvenna with a perfect pass which went over the head of Luke Danville and the sole Drogheda striker runs to the byline but his shot drags just wide.

11'
Paul Crowley was all over Dundalk's Mark Griffin and the ref gives a free in, Drogheda have yet to win a free and Dundalk have had at least four, but all to no avail. Alan Byrne goes in strong and gives another free away, Griffin tries to drive it from 20 yards out and hits the wall.

10'
Both sides are packing the midfield, Drogheda are trying to split the center with some slick passing, but they are over elaborate at times. Dundalk are more route one.

6'
Tiarnan Mulvenna is playing just off the Dundalk center backs and he almost catches them out but former Drog Eoghan Osborne was alert to get the ball back to Cherrie

4'
Dundalk win a free just inside the Drogheda half, but Mark Griffin fails to get enough elevation on it and Drogheda scramble it clear.

2'
It's Drogheda who win the first corner of the game, Philip Hand whips it in, but Dundalk clear.

1'

GAME ON!

We are underway here in Drogheda with the home side shooting into the sun in the first half.

0'
Nice to see local Drog and Dundalk assistant manager Darius Kierans be welcomed back to the club and have a few handshakes with some of the staff here. Teams just taking to the pitch now.

0'
Both sides are drastically changed since Friday night, Sean McCaffrey has included Rafter and McDonnell despite being doubts for the clash. Mick Cooke gives Stephen Trimble a rare start while Alan Byrne makes his debut.

0'
What a difference a few days makes, here in Drogheda on Friday night it was freezing cold and gale force winds, well maybe not gale force, but tonight, it's glorious, the sun is out, there is very little wind and the pitch looks like freshly laid carpet. Perfect conditions for a local derby.
