EXTRATIME FIRST HALF!

Extratime it is, and off we go into the first period. 15 minutes a half and penos if they are still tied. both sides had chances in the final five minutes and while you would expect Derry to finish stronger, it was very even in the closing minutes; two tired teams here so it might come down to survival of the fittest

Second Half

The second half has begun

Half time report from Pete Kelly
Salthill Devon survived  the early Derry onslaught to gain a footing in the middle of the field and go ahead after 35 minutes. Derry had the lions share of possession but Salthill have looked dangerous on the break, with Ntanda Nkololo posing a real handful for the visitors defense. It was no surprise that the French man helped himself to the opening goal, when he sped through the Derry rearguard and finished young Ronan Conlon's great cross-field ball. 18 year old Conlon has looked the part on the right side for Salthill, while Straut and Collins have also done well for Derry James McClean has looked the most likely, while Eamon Zayed has been a bit disappointing in the middle.

Half Time

So it is half time here in Drom and the home side lead thanks to a great goal from Frenchman Etanda Nkololo. What are your thoughts on that. Tweet us at @ExtratimeNews or comment on the main live updates page!

35'

GOAL!

Salthill take the lead against Derry City. Etanda Nkololo hits a great shot to the net from 25 yards. A cross-field ball from Ronan Conlon was seized on by Nkololo and you won't see a better goal at Drom this season.

28'
A half chance for Derry, great run by Eamon Zayed who latched on to a long ball. His resulting header was put wide of advancing keeper, but ball ran out wide of the post too; first time Zayed has posed a threat

17'
Salthill Should have scored; Derry defense in a muddle, caused again by Nkololo and Howley had a real chance, but it was scrambled clear; game more even now.

10'
Ten minutes gone; most of the pressure from Derry but Nkololo in a breakaway hits great shot inches over the bar; Derry look threatening
