FULL TIME!

It's all over and Dundalk survive heavy pressure from St Pats to claim a hard earned point.

92'
David McMillan bursts down the right, somehow skipping past Dean Bennett's challenge, Simon Madden got in the way of his cross and McFaul blasted the rebound wide of the post.

90'
There is a bit of a hiatus here as Pender is down injured. There will be three added minutes.

89'
Derek Pender just about manages to intercept a Keith Wall ball as Dundalk threatened to break. That was vital as Breen and Quigley were racing forwards into space.

87'
A goalmouth scramble ends with Quigley hooking a shot from just inside the box off a Pats defender and away for a corner, which is wasted.

86'
Ward finds Gaynor this time with an almost identical ball. Gaynor's first time cross would have been impressive indeed if there had been anyone in the box to meet it.

85'
Ward almost plays Gaynor in with a 40 yard crossfield ball but Rogers was alert to it and came out to claim.

84'
David McMillan hooks the ball over at the back post having got on the end of Guthrie's flicked header from Kavanagh's free.

83'

Substitution

Dundalk Sub - Johnny Breen comes on for Mark Griffin.

82'
Derek Doyle plays a one-two with Sean Stewart on the edge of the Dundalk box but fires his shot just over the bar.

80'

Substitution

Pats Sub - Sean Stewart replaces Paul Crowley who gets a standing ovation from the home fans.

78'
There is still great energy to St Pats' attacking play but they are finding it hard to create clear chances. Dundalk are battling away too but are being forced into a more defensive mission than their hosts.

75'
A great opportunity for Pats as Kavanagh picks up a loose ball and plays Doyle through on the left. But his cross was poor and Nathan Murphy cleared.

73'
Cherrie has just made an excellent save from Derek Doyle, getting down low to his right to turn away the snapshot.

72'
Pete Mahon has just bellowed at one of his players to "stop arguing with the referee and do your job!"

70'
Play is flowing from one end to other now, largely because of neither side can hold on to possession. As Dundalk break forwards Griffin is held on the edge of the Pats box but Quigley sends the free kick narrowly over the crossbar.

66'
Kavanagh takes the free and plays it square to Bermingham who tries a shot from about 40 yards that is hopelessly off target.Pete Mahon is not impressed.

65'
Dave McMillan and Dean Bennett each go down like sacks of spuds after a mid-air collision. That looked bad but both are up and it's a free to Pats.

63'

Substitution

Pats Sub - David McMillan replaces Ian Daly.

60'

GOAL!

On the hour mark a far post header by Derek Doyle following a Kavanagh cross sneaks into the Dundalk net. It's 2-2 now!

58'
A decent break down the right from Dundalk but Ward's final ball into the box is too close to Rogers who gathers calmly.

54'
A cross from the left by Bermingham is headed out to Daryl Kavanagh who elects not to hit it first time but bring it down. His subsequent effort is crowded out and the ball flies high and wide.

53'
A long ball from Maher into the inside right channel finds Quigley who turns Shane Guthrie before being impeded on the edge of the Pats Box. Gaynor takes the free but hits it wastefully high and over the bar... way over the bar.

50'

GOAL!

Keith Ward puts Dundalk ahead! A Gaynor corner was headed goalwards by Griffin and Ward stole in to touch the ball over the line!

49'
Oooh, a dipping shot from Quigley is flicked over the Pats bar by Gary Rogers.

46'
A cross from the left by Ian Bermingham just eludes the outstretched foot of Anto Murphy. A close call for Dundalk there.

46'

Second Half

We are back underway here.

45'

Half Time

It's half time here where Pats and Dundalk are tied at one apiece.

44'
Paul Crowley's blood injury has re-opened and he now has to pull on the shirt of sub Jake Carroll. Anyone coming in late to this one will be mightily confused.

43'
And another ball from the left, this time delivered by Kavanagh, skids off a couple of Pats foreheads before slipped harmlessly through and wide.

41'
Another great chance for Pats as a Murphy cross from the left is missed by both Doyle and Guthrie.

39'
A good chance for Pats as Murphy's ball to Doyle doesn't quite come across to the wingers left foot. Instead he nudged it on towards Bermingham but Stephen Maher put in an excellent challenge and the danger was cleared.

37'
Anto Murphy's long throws are hilarious. From almost anywhere inside the Dundalk half he will have about 40 yards of free space between him and the nearest player. Ian Daly just flicked on the latest effort but the Dundalk defence managed to clear.

34'
Crowley is back on the field after having his injury tidied up. He is now wearing a numberless shirt.

33'

GOAL!

Mark Griffin pulls Dundalk level as he got on the end of a Stephen Maher cross from the right and blasted a low shot into the net from about ten yards out.

31'

Yellow Card

Dundalk's Greg Bolger is carded for an innocuous looking aerial challenge with Paul Crowley. But, having said that, Crowley is forced to leave the field with a blood injury. Well spotted ref!

29'
Quigley turns and shoots from about 30 yards but Rogers had that in his sights all the time. Easy save. Quigley is becoming more and more influential in this game despite the approbrium of the home crowd.

26'
McFaul lobs a ball towards Dundalk's back post where Doyle stretched and volleyed from six yards out only for Cherrie to pull off a sharp save. This an excellent game.

24'
A superb chip from Quigley is so close to finding the run of Keith Ward. But a saving header from either McMillan or McFaul saved the home side. Ward would have been clean through and ten yards out under a dropping ball.

20'
Lovely football from Dundalk. Keith Ward played a precise ball into the path of Quigley who slipped a sublime little pass through for Mark Griffin. His low shot rolled about three feet wide of the Pats goal.

19'
McFaul tries to play Doyle through the Dundalk back line but his pass is marginally too heavy and the ball runs through to Cherrie.

17'

Yellow Card

And having said all that Shane McFaul goes and gets himself booked after clattering into Mark Griffin as he broke from a St Pats corner.

15'
Having had a poor start to the season, Shane McFaul is having a super game. He has just put in a solid block on Ross Gaynor as he attempted a shot and the Pats midfielder is looking like a class act all round.

13'
Dundalk's reply was a shot from Greg Bolger, having been teed up by Quigley, that ballooned over the bar .

12'
Just before the goal Paul Crowley smacked the post with a shot on the turn from 20 yards. I didn't have time to tell you about that before the goal went in!

11'

GOAL!

Pats take the lead! Derek Doyle from a Kavanagh corner. A superb strike on the volley at the back post.

10'
Kavanagh delivers a free from the right that finds Evan McMillan unmarked. The big defender spins his header inches wide of Cherrie's near post.

7'
A long throw from Anto Murphy is flicked on by Derek Doyle but Paul Crowley couldn't get to it and ball runs harmlessly wide.

4'
Simon Madden attempts to clear a through ball but only succeeds in hitting it into Ian Daly. Fortunately for the Dundalk man it ricocheted safely back to his keeper, Peter Cherrie.

3'
Neither side have created anything in the opening minutes but it's early days yet. There was one crunching challenge between Stephen Maher and Ian Daly and Mark Quigley got a minor booing when he received the ball. We await further developments.

1'

GAME ON!

Game on at Richmond Park. Dundalk kick off and Pats are playing towards the Inchicore end.

0'
Here come the teams, we will be underway shortly.

0'
Less than ten minutes to go now and I would say that the main stand is about half full. Still time for the last minuters though.

0'
Also, Shane Guthrie, having returned from his loan spell at Dundalk, goes straight into the St Pats back four to face his former team mates.

0'
Dundalk are expected to play Stephen Maher as a make shift full back with Simon Madden shifting into the middle. Dundalk name only four subs.

0'
Plenty of interesting team news. Danny North plays no part in advance of the trip to Kazakhstan next week and there is a place on the bench for Gareth Coughlan who suffered a terrible leg break more than a year ago. Mark Quigley, who was involved in the challenge that led to Coughlan's injury, starts for Dundalk.

0'
It's starting to look like rain here. The wind has picked up and it has suddenly gone very dark. I'm predicting thunder myself.

0'
One hour to go here at Richmond Park and it really does feel like a Sunday. It's all very quiet. As soon as we have the teams we'll put them up for you. Meanwhile, I'm off to find a cup of tea.
