71'

Bit of confusion here at Finn Park - James Dermody is rather harshly penalised for an alleged hand-ball as he attempted to block down a cross from Paul McVeigh. The incident took place inside the box but referee Ray Matthews awarded a free-kick two yards outside it.

70'

Substitution

Joe Mulcahy replaces Dean Broaders for Wexford Youths.

68'

McNulty almost doubles Harps' lead but his header, from a Merritt corner, is brilliantly saved by Doyle...

55'

GOAL!

Harps break the deadlock ten minutes into the second half through an unlikely source. Gary Merritt wins a free-kick on the left side before getting to his feet to swing in the delivery, which evaded several would-be defenders and attackers before Cowan fired home at the back post.

50'

Doyle tips a McVeigh volley past the post following a free-kick from Merritt and a knockdown by Cowan..

46'

Second Half

The second half between Finn Harps and Wexford Youths has started.

42'

Wexford go closest to breaking the deadlock so far after Shane Nolan blocked down an attempted pass from Thomas Bonnar, sending Broaders clean through in the process. The Youths striker only had Gallagher to beat but the 'keeper stood tall and denied him with a low save, only for the rebound to fall back into Nolan's path. However, he was also thwarted by a goal-line block from Aaron O'Hagan.

36'

Shane Nolan pick-pockets Damien McNulty on the left hand side before sliding in Dean Broaders who wastes his side's first chance of the game with a wayward attempt over the top.

30'

Tonight's game is the second meeting between the sides in the space of a week. Last week Wexford won 2-1 in a league clash in Ferrycarrig, with Joey Mulcahy and Aidan Keenan on target for Shane Keegan's side, while Sean McCarron grabbed the only goal for Harps. Thomas Croke was sent off in that game but his suspension has yet to kick in and he retains his place in the starting line-up for the visitors, who have made two changes from last week - CJ Browne replacing Gary Delaney at the heart of defence, while Dean Broaders leads the line in place of Mulcahy.

Harps have made three changes - Damien McNulty has overcome tendinitis in his knee and starts at right back in place of James Doherty, while Aaron O'Hagan and Paul McVeigh are also called into the starting line-up in place of Johnny Bonner and the suspended Kevin McHugh respectively.

23'

McVeigh then tries his luck with his weaker left foot from 20 yards but Doyle gathers comfortably...

19'

McCarron's cross from the left grazes the crossbar and the rebound falls to the feet of strike partner Paul McVeigh, who was then flagged offside..

16'

We've suffered a few technical issues here in Ballybofey but we appear to be back online now. Little to report so far, other than a stinging half-volley from Sean McCarron on the edge of the area, which Wexford goalkeeper Graham Doyle did well to parry.
