FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Bohemians and Drogheda United.

86'

Substitution

Ryan Brennan replaces Michael Daly for Drogheda United.

82'

Big roar as Neil Doyle gets hit with the ball, the biggest roar of the night really. Man of the Match slips are being collected in the press box and its unanimous that a Drogheda player will be on the receiving end - I went for Jason Marks, he only played 65 minutes but the game was over as a contest when he came off.

78'

Game being played at a friendly pace now with both teams emptying their respective benches. Drogheda have been ruthless while Bohs have failed to take their chances, and that as they say is the difference.

75'

Substitution

Karl Moore replaces Andy Mulligan for Bohemians.

72'

Drogs in crusie control now. Adam Kelly comes on for Lyons but any chance of a comeback looks like it disappeared with that Hand goal.

70'

Substitution

Adam Kelly replaces Chris Lyons for Bohemians.

67'

What a goal! Bohs fail to clear their lines on the left and good work from Brady finds Hand who shoots from an awkward angle on the left, his shot beats Delany and ricochets off the underside of the bar and into the back of the net. Great finish.

67'

GOAL!

Philip Hand scores for Drogheda United.

65'

O'Brien also replaced now by Cooke so that's my two calls for MOTM gone with just under a half an hour left.

64'

Substitution

David Cassidy replaces Declan O'Brien for Drogheda United.

60'

Surprise change from Mick Cooke as Jason Marks who was heading in the Man of the Match direction is replaced by Philip Hand. Marks did pick up a yellow a minute previous which may have influenced the decision.

It's even enough with regards possession, Andy Mulligan had a good effort but it was chalked off for offside.

58'

Substitution

Philip Hand replaces Jason Marks for Drogheda United.

57'

Yellow Card

Jason Marks is booked for Drogheda United.

57'

Yellow Card

Peter Hynes is booked for Drogheda United.

54'

Bohs should be back in it, Byrne's attempted headed clearance is misjudged and substitute Kevin O'Leary races on to the ball, his shot is well saved by Sava in the Drogs goal.

50'

It would have been lovely! Hynes disposses Buckley about 30 yards out and gives it to Fabio who attempts an audacious chip which creeps over Delany's crossbar

49'

Lively start to the second half for Bohs, they've dominated possession and have had a corner. Kevin O'Leary has replaced Dwayne Wilson.

47'

Buckley curls a free kick just wide of the right hand post, close.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Bohemians and Drogheda United has started.

45'

Substitution

Kevin O'Leary replaces Dwayne Wilson for Bohemians.

45'

Half Time

Mick Cooke's men lead 2-0 and are probably worth their lead, although Bohs have had some good chances.

45'

Keith Buckley, who has been a shining light for Bohs, makes space for himself before shooting from 22 yards, his effort is comfortable for Sava

44'

Through ball from Grimes finds Fabio over the top, his chip isn't as delicate as he would have liked and it goes well over.

40'

Luke Byrne agains runs at the Drogheda defence and his cross could have gone in but sails just over/wide.

38'

Drogs take a 2-0 lead slightly against the run of play. Jason Marks does well up the left before ghosting past Michael Barker, his cross finds Fabio 6 yards out in front of goal and he does the necessary. 2-0 Drogs

38'

GOAL!

Declan O'Brien scores for Drogheda United.

36'

Arguments over a foul throw and Kevin Kilbane tweeting a picture of Dalymount have been the most exciting moments in the last 5 minutes.... Still 1-0

30'

It's calmed down here to an extent with both sides enjoying spells of possession without threatening the oppositions goal. Luke Byrne has marauded forward on two seperate occassions, looking dangerous each time. If Bohs can get hm the ball in attacking positions they can create chances.

23'

And as if I have a 6th sense, Lyons does well to find Buckley on the penalty box, his shot is low and in the corner but blocked off the line by Paul O'Conor.

22'

Bohs playing the better football the last 10 minutes, McEvoy and Buckley have looked lively and my earlier predictions of goals, goals, goals may not be far off

19'

Yellow Card

Alan McNally is booked for Drogheda United.

17'

Nearly a calamity for Drogheda as a swinging McEvoy free kick from the left heads straight for Sava, he lets it slip through his hands and it comes straight back off the post, crisis averted for the Drogs.

13'

It appears that Kevin Kilbane is in attendance tonight, potential future signing?!

11'

Marks shot after a scramble is well blocked by Mulcahy before Bohs manage to get it clear. Drogheda dominating early

5'

And Drogs are 1 up! Cross from Marks on the left, knocked down well by Hynes and Quigley rifles a shot from 12 yards which Delany can only parry into the roof of the net

4'

GOAL!

Stephen Quigley scores for Drogheda United.

3'

Chance for Bohs and Dwayne Wilson plays in Keith Buckley, his left footed curler is dealt with comfortably by Sava

1'

Fabio with the first shot in anger for the visitors, not much anger in the shot though, straight at Delany

1'

GAME ON!

The game between Bohemians and Drogheda United has kicked off.

0'

Teams are out and we're almost ready to roll.....

0'

I've been reminded that Bohs are sponsored by Volkswagen, the rivalry in here is palpable, lets hope it doesn't put the brakes on what could be a very entertaining evening. Kick off in 8 minutes

0'

Since it is the Ford FAI Cup, beware of car related puns I may make during the evening. Lets get motoring with this one.... I'm sorry too easy, so we'll park this for the minute.....

0'

The BIG news from Dalymount is that Brush Shields is playing in the bar in Dalymount on June 24th, the announcement was met with elation by many, including myself!

Other big news is that there is a change of referee with Neil Doyle taking charge, that announcement was met by numerous boos from the home fans, make of that what you will.....

0'

With kick-off 15 minutes away it would be nice to pay our respects to former Cork City manager Noel O'Mahony who passed away today. Ar Dheis dé go raibh a anam dílis, RIP.

0'

Teams are in, I repeat teams are in. Bohs go with two up top, Lyons and Wilson. For Drogheda the big inclusion is Peter Hynes who makes only his second appearance of the season. It's a windy enough evening in Phibsborough but conditions are condusive to good football and my crystal ball tells me we can expect goals. goals, goals.

0'

Good evening, good afternoon, good morning - wherever in the world you are tuned in. Dalymount is the venue tonight as both Bohs and Drogheda try to gain some much needed attention with an cup win. Team sheets on route, so keep an eye as we count down to 7.45 kick-off
