Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 85' - Substitution - Both sides make a change - For Galway, Jonathan Keane comes on for Jason Molloy.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 85' - Substitution - ... and Bray Replace Dane Massey with Andrei Georgescu.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers
80' - Ten minutes left here and Galway's lead look's far from secure. Would definitely expect a goal, though, from either side.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 76' - Substitution - Galway make their first sub of the night - Cian McBrien comes on for Bobby Ryan.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 70' - Yellow Card - Galway's Derek O'Brien is booked.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 66' - Yellow Card - Galway striker Karl Sheppard is booked.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers
64' - Two decent chances in the space of a minute for Bray. First, Robbie Doyle's deflected volley was well saved by Barry Ryan's feet. Then Richie Baker was put in space but snatched a shot well wide.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers
61' - We've just seen the MISS of perhaps this, or maybe even any season. Jason Molloy broke away on the right, delivered a ball across the six yard box, where Derek O'Brien somehow managed to strike the post from no distance.....a bobble perhaps....definitely one for the TV highlights.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 54' - Substitution - David Tyrell on for Jake Kelly for Bray.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers
48' - In reply to the comment, it hasn't been that Galway have set the world alight here, just that Bray were unable to cope with Sheppard in the opening half hour and couldn't get a foot on the ball themselves. They do look dangerous now though when they get forward.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers
47' - Sheppard in again early doors second half but, with an open goal, the ball won't settle for the striker to net his second and two defenders converge to put in a hefty challenge that clears the danger.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 46' - Second Half - We've just kicked off for the second half.
Galway United 2 - 1 Bray Wanderers 45' - Half Time - Chances at both ends just before the whistle as Sheppard whistles a shot just over from an angle, while a Robbie Doyle cross at the other end fails to find a finishing touch. 41' - Goal - Knight has done more than halt Galway's charge, he has just pulled one back latching onto a bouncing ball in the United area following a corner. Bray back in this one, somehow.
Galway United 2 - 0 Bray Wanderers 35' - Substitution - Just as I say that, Nicky Byrne is called ashore, looking none too pleased and Philip Knight is introduced. Can he stop the Galway onslaught?
Galway United 2 - 0 Bray Wanderers
32' - Claims for a penalty to Galway as Bobby Ryans's inch-perfect free-kick is delivered into Sheppard's path but the striker falls under a challenge from behind. Alan Kelly waves away the cries for a spot kick. Sheppard is causing havoc for the Bray centre halves.
Galway United 2 - 0 Bray Wanderers 31' - Yellow Card - The first card of the night is for Bray's James Kavanagh. 27' - Goal - Derek O'Brien doubles Galway's lead after excellent work by Sheppard on the right. Jason Molloy narrowly missed a tap in but O'Brien was on hand at the far post to slide in and score. 21' - Goal - Karl Sheppard opens his account for Galway, finishing from close range after Gary Curran's effort was partially blocked but appeared to be going in. Sheppard made sure, like any good striker.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers
11' - Sheppard's pace is causing problems for Bray, who were undone twice by long balls over the top. Seamus Conneely this time couldn't get his shot away. Galway on top.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers
6' - Chris Shields effort over the top...just prior Karl Sheppard won a free on the right wing but Jamie McKenzie couldn't get a clean connection on Bobby Ryan's delivery.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers 1' - First Half - Bit late starting here and Bray have flown out of the traps again here, Robbie Doyle going very close within 40 seconds.

Hello to Thomas and as you can see we have already answered your crowd question in Cork. Still awaiting kick off.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers
0' - Both sides retreating to the dressing rooms.....both sides available in the line-ups.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers
0' - The bareness of Galway's squad is exposed by the fact that Jonathan Keane, who was reported to be out for two months with an unspecified ailment, is now out warming up with the matchday squad, and looks set to fill a space on the bench.
Galway United 0 - 0 Bray Wanderers
0' - Good evening from Terryland Park. Bray out limbering up on an uncharacteristically sandy pitch. No sign of the home side yet although the suspended Stephen O'Donnell and injury victims Alan Murphy and Jonathan Keane were out jogging earlier. |
