UEFA Licence granted to five clubs

The independent Club Licensing Committee of the Football Association of Ireland has awarded UEFA Licences to five Airtricity League clubs for the 2012/13 UEFA Club Competition season.

 

Shamrock Rovers FC will be entered in the Champions League with Bohemian FC, Sligo Rovers FC and St Patrick’s Athletic FC participating in the Europa League.

 

UCD AFC were also awarded a UEFA Licence in the event that a UEFA Fair Play place is awarded to the Airtricity League. Under UEFA rules, the top three countries in the UEFA Fair Play Ranking list automatically gain an extra Europa League place.
