Drogheda re-sign trio ahead of 2020 campaign

First Division promotion hunters Drogheda United have confirmed the trio of Ryan O’Shea, Stephen Meaney and Luke Heeney will remain at the club ahead of the 2020 campaign.

O’Shea burst onto the scene this year for the Boynesiders, making his debut in the defeat away to Longford Town in July.

The youngster also scored against Avondale United in the FAI Cup first-round – and also registering a strike in the playoff win over Cabinteely.

Also re-signing for the club is Stephen Meaney. The forward commits to the 2020 cause at United Park having impressed during 2019.

Meaney scored ten times for Drogheda this term, while also making 29 appearances in total for the club.

Luke Heeney also re-signs after an impressive first year in senior football with Tim Clancy’s Drogheda United.

Joining from St Patrick’s Athletic, Heeney scored his first goal for Drogheda in the 4-2 win over Athlone Town
