Ireland's Rob Harvey to take charge of Europa League tie between Aris and Molde on Thursday

Referee Rob Harvey will lead a team of League of Ireland officials in Greece on Thursday night as Aris Thessaloniki take on Molde in their Europa League third qualifying round second leg.

The Norwegian side, managed by Erling Moe following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure for Manchester United, lead 3-0 following the home leg at the Aker Stadion.

Harvey will be assisted on the touchline by linesmen Wayne O’Donnell and Mark Gavin, while Paul McLaughlin will act as fourth official at Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium in Salonika.

The 30-year-old Dubliner is one of the league’s most distinguished referees, having recently taken charge of the Euro 2020 qualifier between Sweden and Malta.

Last season Harvey took charge of Europa League qualifiers between Bulgaria’s Levski Sofia and Vaduz of Macedonia, as well Ukrainian side Mariupol and Sweden’s Djurdgardens.

The winners of the tie will face the winner of Belgium’s Antwerp and Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic. Antwerp lead 1-0 going into the second leg in Plzen.
