Bohemians under-19s qualify for the UEFA Youth League for the second year running

Bohemians under-19 side have qualified for the UEFA Youth League for the second year running.

Craig Sexton’s young guns qualified for the blue-ribbon European competition after Italian side Atalanta qualified for the Italian under-19 league final.

As both Atalanta and Inter Milan - the other side contesting the Italian under-19 league final - have qualified through the domestic path, Bohemians have benefited in qualifying after their league exploits last term.

Bohs won the Under-19 National League Final against Shamrock Rovers in October 2018.

The young Gypsies secured a 1-0 win at Tallaght Stadium with forward Ali Reghba scoring the winner just before the half-time whistle.

During Bohemians last foray in the UEFA Youth League, they fell to a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Danish side FC Midtjylland.

Craig Sexton’s side were defeated in both games by two goals to one. FC Midtjylland went on to overcome Roma and Manchester United in later rounds before being knocked out by eventual winners FC Porto.
