Northern Irish U21 International Bobby Burns returns to Hearts after loan spell at Livingston

Northern Ireland U21 star Bobby Burns has returned to Heart of Midlothian after a brief six-month loan spell at fellow SPL side Livingston.

Burns re-joins the Jambos after making just eight appearances for the West Lothian side as a central midfielder for Gary Holt’s side.

The 19-year-old youngster joined Hearts initially from Danske Bank Premiership Cliftonville in the summer after signing a pre-contract agreement with the Tynecastle outfit in May 2018, where Cliftonville received an undisclosed fee for the prodigious talent.

After featuring in a number pre-season games for Hearts in the summer, the former Lisburn Distillery schoolboy made his competitive bow for the Jambos in the Betfred Scottish League Cup clash against Cove Rangers before joining Livingston on loan.

Burns returns to the cub alongside fellow former loanee Ryan Edwards who was on loan at St Mirren during Burns’ stint at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
