Watch: Should Shamrock Rovers have been awarded their match-winning penalty in Dundalk?
Dundalk's 13-game league winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night with a 2-1 defeat to Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park.
The Lilywhites chances of equalling Bohemians' 94-year-old record of 15 win in a row were slim as the game looked set to be headed for a draw as the fouth minute of injury time neared.
Roberto Lopes had given Rovers the lead with a second-minute header before Michael Duffy's deflected shot looped over Alan Mannus to tie things up early in the second half.
Deep in injury time, however, a loose touch in the box from former Hoop Sean Gannon forced the defender to dive in on Ronan Finn and referee Rob Harvey awarded a penalty.

Dylan Watts smashed the penalty past Gary Rogers, but Dundalk players were incensed by the decision and Sean Hoare was sent off after the final whistle.
