Ireland under-17 star Jordan McEneff signs pro terms with Arsenal

Ireland under-17 international Jordan McEneff has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal.

The Derryman, whose brother Aaron plays for Derry City, signed a two-year academy deal with the Gunners last summer but has impressed enough to earn a senior deal.

Attacking midfielder McEneff was injured early in his time at the Emirate but went on to make seven appearances for former Ireland underage international Kwame Ampadu's under-18s.

The 18-year-old, whose father is from Dublin, played up to under-17 level with Northern Ireland before making the switch to the Republic of Ireland.

He was spotted playing for County Derry in the Milk Cup and for men's team Coleraine before signing terms with Arsenal as a 17-year-old.

McEneff signed terms with Arsenal alongside fellow academy products Harry Clarke and Tobi Omole.
