Holders Cork City face Sunday afternoon trip to Whitehall as FAI Cup first round fixtures confirmed

The FAI have confirmed the dates and times for the FAI Cup first round ties with the visit of defending champions Cork City to Home Farm on Sunday afternoon the pick of the ties.

Leinster Senior League side Home Farm host John Caulfield's men at Whitehall in a game that's has been fixed for a 1pm kick-off on Sunday August 12th.

Last year’s runners up Dundalk home clash is still up in the air, depending on whethe the Lilywhites qualify for the Europa League third qualifying round at the expense of AEK Larnaca.

Should they come out of Cyprus victorious, Stephen Kenny’s side will play Cobh Ramblers on Sunday, August 12, with a 6pm kick-off, rather than Friday night.

First Division promotion chasers Drogheda United host Stephen Bradley’s Shamrock Rovers at United Park on Friday the 10th in what promises to be a fascinating tie on Boyneside.

Non-league side Pike Rovers will make the trip to First Division title chasers UCD at the UCD Bowl on Friday 10th with a 7.45pm kick-off in Belfield.

Sligo Rovers home clash against Longford Town has also been given a 7.45pm kick-off time at the Showgrounds on Saturday evening.

The only other Premier Division vs First Division clashes see Finn Harps travel to Bray Wanderers while Bohemians travel to Ferrycarrig Park to face Wexford on Friday evening.

The only all non-league game, between Dublin Bus and CIE Ranch, has been fixed for a Saturday afternoon kick off time of 3pm at Coldcut in Clondalkin.
