League Preview: Athlone Town -v- Wexford

ATHLONE TOWN

Athlone Town welcome second-from-bottom Wexford to Lissywollen in search of their first win in more than a year (kick-off 7.45pm).

Terry Butler's side are closing in on Kilkenny City's record of 38 league games without a win between 1994 and 1995.

Athlone are currently on a 34-game run without a win, and also have failed to provide team news on each of those occasions.

WEXFORD

Like Athlone, Wexford have found results hard to come by this season, with just two wins to their name.

One of those came on the opening day against Cabinteely, and the other was a 7-0 demolition of Athlone at Ferrycarrig Park in April.

Damian Locke's side have picked up three draws, two of them in the weeks before the break, including an impressive 0-0 with Galway United on the last day.

Mark Slater, AJ Lehane and Aaron O'Connor are all injured, while Thomas Croke is suspended, but Ross Kenny and Aaron Dobbs could make their returns.
