Sligo Rovers have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Eduardo Pincelli has left the club by mutual agreement.

The 35-year-old joined the Bit o' Red towards the end of January but has found game time limited, having made just ten appearances since joining the club in January.

The experienced playmaker started out with Fluminense in Brazil but has spent most of his career in Cyprus, with Ethnikos Acha and Aris Limassol among his former clubs.

"Thank you for all the moments,” Pincelli said in an address to fans on the club's website.

“It was great to be part of this team and also to be in this lovely country."

Sligo manage Gerard Lyttle added: "We have huge respect Eduardo for being a great professional and person to deal with.

“We want to wish him and his family a bright future and thank them all for his time in Sligo.

"He still has plenty to offer, I think that is the big thing for him at this time in his career and this is a good move for all parties."
