Ireland U17 drew 1-1 with Galway yesterday evening thanks to an injury time free-kick from 30 yards out scored by Troy Parrott.

Ireland Head Coach Colin O'Brien was delighted that his side managed to come away with a draw after a hard fought 80 minutes of play.

“We definitely deserved to get something from the game. Over the 80 minutes we probably created the better of the chances. Troy (Parrot) showed great courage to take on that opportunity and the execution was top quality,” O’Brien told FAI.ie.

“It was a really tough battle. There were some pleasing aspects of our play and other facets we’ll have to work on. We’ll regroup now ahead of Thursday, assess the injuries and decide who needs minutes,” the Ireland boss added.
