Watch: Debut goal for Adorjan as Dundalk fight back to beat Brentford

Dundalk came from behind to taste victory in their final friendly of pre-season as they edged out Brentford B 2-1 at Oriel Park on Wednesday night.

With double-winners Cork City set to visit to contest the President's Cup on Sunday afternoon, goals from debutant Krisztián Adorján and Stephen Folan earned the Lilywhites the win.

Clayton Bradley had given the visitors the lead after Folan had gotten himself into a muddle attempting to play out from the back.

The number ten hassled Folan into giving up possession midway through the first half, and he kept his composure to slide the ball past Gary Rogers in the Dundalk goal.

That's how it remained until the break, but Dundalk were back on level terms within five minutes of the restart thanks to the Hungarian attacker Adorján.

A jinky run from winger Jamie McGrath finished with a clever chipped pass for Adorján, and the former Liverpool trainee showed good feet before planting a shot in the far corner of the net.

And the comeback was complete ten minutes from the end as a deep delivery from a corner was headed back across goal by captain Dane Massey, and Folan was on hand to apply the finish.

It's Cork on Sunday for the Lilywhites, while Brentford B finish their whirlwind tour of Ireland on Saturday as they take on Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
