Karl Moore rejoins boyhood club Bohemians from Bray Wanderers

Bohemians have announced that fans' favourite Karl Moore has decided to return to Dalymount Park after a two-year stint away with Bray Wanderers.

Moore played 105 times in a four-year stint between 2012 and 2015 and scored five goals, including a brace in a 4-0 derby day destruction over Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers in June of 2012.

After leaving the Gypsies in 2015, Moore made the switch to the Carlisle Grounds to join forces with Bray Wanderers where the left-sided player made fifty-five appearances for the Seagulls.

The 29-year-old winger, who grew up supporting the Gypsies, came through the ranks at Manchester City and had spells with UCD, Galway United and Shamrock Rovers before joining Bohs.

“Karl coming back to the club is a really good signing for us,” manager Keith Long told the club's website.

“He’s a player with bags of ability and he’s returning to us more experienced now after two good seasons with Bray.”

Long added that he is looking forward to seeing Moore recreate his versatility and quality he showed at the Carlisle Grounds in his second stint at Dalymount Park.

“He can play on either flank, but he’s been equally as good at left-back for Bray too.

“We believe he can reproduce that form here and that we can rely on his experience to help bring some of our younger players through too.”

Moore’s addition for 2018 brings the total number of players who have committed to the Bohemians cause up to 23 as the back-to-back league winners of 2008 and 2009 look to build on an impressive fifth place finish last year.
