Belvedere FC Crowned Volkswagen Junior Masters Champions 2017
Over 250 footballers from 16 top teams around Ireland competed in Dublin’s A.U.L Complex over the second weekend of August in this year’s Volkswagen Junior Masters football tournament. A fiercely competitive final saw Belvedere FC winner beat Crumlin Utd 1-0.
Now in its fourth year, the under 13 boy’s tournament has grown significantly in terms of its recognition and importance amongst the Irish grassroots soccer community. The stakes were high with the winning team, Belvedere FC benefitting with a €2,500 grant from Volkswagen for their club, while all competing teams received an Umbro team kit for the competition.
From sixteen teams participating in this year’s 11-a-side tournament, the winners were;
