Anthony O'Donnell leaves Cobh Ramblers due to work commitments

Cobh Ramblers have confirmed that full-back Anthony O'Donnell has left the club, citing work commitments.

Left-back O'Donnell leaves the club with Cobh still keeping up the chase on First Division league leaders Waterford, with the Cork-based outfit seven points off the summit of the table.

The 22-year-old played under three different managers during his time at the club: Dave Hill, Martin Cambridge and current manager Stephen Henderson.

O'Donnell made ten appearances for Henderson's charges in 2017 in their pursuit of Waterford and the sole promotion spot.

In a short statement, O'Donnell has wished his former employers the best of luck in the future by saying;

“There are some good people at the club Bob, Iain and Michael along with Leslie who do a lot of great work keeping things going and I hope for their sake that all the hard work pays off at some stage in the future”

The club also wished the full back all the best in his future and thanked him for his service at St Colman's Park.
