Watch: Ireland midfielder Liam Kelly nets his third goal of the season at Fulham

Republic of Ireland under-21 international Liam Kelly took his tally for the nascent English season to three with a well-taken goal in Reading's 1-1 draw with Fulham on Saturday.

The Royals registered their first point of the league season on their travels to Craven Cottage despite conceding a late equaliser to the ten men from South London.

20-year-old Kelly, who was named in the 39-man provisional Irish senior squad to face Georgia and Serbia later this month, scored both goals in the 2-0 League Cup win over Gillingham on Wednesday.

And he remains his club's only scorer this season after grabbing Jaap Stam's only goal of the game in London, drilling home from the edge of the area after being teed up by striker Joseph Mendes.

Kelly faces tough competition in a stacked midfield to earn a place in the final squad to be announced next week but he'll have done his chances no harm with this goalscoring form.
