Irish international Denise O'Sullivan leaves Houston Dash by mutual consent

Republic of Ireland international Denise O'Sullivan has parted company with National Women's Soccer League side Houston Dash by mutual consent.
Following a frustrating year-and-a-half in America, the former Senior International Player of the Year requested to be waived in order to find opportunities elsewhere.
The Cork-born attacking midfielder joined the Texas club from Glasgow City ahead of the 2016 season and has made 29 appearances in 18 months, scoring twice and contributing four assists.
“I would like to thank Houston Dash, my teammates and the fans for the past year ½ I have been involved with the team,” O'Sullivan wrote on Twitter.
“I have made memories that I will cherish forever. I thought at this stage the best thing for me was to find more opportunities wherever that will be on my next journey.”

23-year-old O'Sullivan began her career with local side Wilton United before stepping up to Peamount United for their UEFA Champions League campaign in 2011.
She signed for Cork City ahead of the 2011-12 Women's National League season and spent two years on Leeside before joining the semi-professional set-up at Glasgow City.
She won three Premier League titles in Scotland and reached both the round of 16 and the quarter-finals of the Champions League in her three years on the Clyde.
O'Sullivan made her senior international debut as a 17-year-old in a Euro 2013 qualifier away to Wales in September 2011, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win.
She has since gone on to earn more than 50 caps for her country and was named Senior International Player of the Year in 2015.
