Strange day gets stranger as Indian club apologise to Bray Wanderers over logo mix-up

It's been an interesting 24 hours for Bray Wanderers – and, in particular, their Asian fans.

First, acting chairman Gerry Mulvey issued a bizarre statement labelling Wicklow County Council 'the North Korea of Ireland' before signalling an intention to leave the Carlisle Grounds.

The council later issued a nonplussed response in which they categorically denied they are a communist dictatorship (some poetic licence has been taken).

Now, Indian club Kerala Evergreen, new entrants to the top-tier I-League, have been forced to apologise to the Seagulls after unveiling a near-identical logo at their formal launch.

Have a look for yourself to compare:

There's no indication that Bray have been in contact with Kerala Evergreen and the Indian club appear to have removed the crest at their own volition and apologised to fans and to Bray Wanderers in a series of tweets.
