Kaleem Simon and Jamie Doyle leave Bohemians

Bohemians have confirmed that forwards Jamie Doyle and Kaleem Simon have left the club by mutual consent.

 

The pair joined the Phibsboro club in the off-season from Shelbourne and Longford Town respectively but, with Keith Long strengthening up front, they've opted to leave for pastures new.

 

The arrival of Steo Donnelly, the AUL Premier A top scorer, from Usher Celtic as well as the return from injury of Izzy Akinade has increased competition at Dalymount Park in recent weeks.

 

23-year-old Doyle made the short move across north Dublin at the beginning of the season having impressed for the Reds in the First Division.

 

The Dubliner began his League of Ireland career with UCD in 2015 and played in all four of their Europa League qualifying games before linking up with Shels at the end of the season.

 



21-year-old Simon also came through the system at UCD, joining the club's under-19 set-up in 2013 before quickly making the step up to the first team, debuting in July 2014.

 

At the end of that season, the London-born Dubliner signed for newly-promoted Longford and spnt two seasons with the midlands side before signing for Bohs in December of 2016.

 

The club have also confirmed that 19-year-old Dean Casey has joined Cabinteely on loan until the end of the season.
