Watch: Deja vu for Derry as Clancy snatches victory for Bray

Bray Wanderers leaped above Derry City into third thanks to a topsy-turvy 3-2 win over the Candystripes at the Carlisle Grounds on Friday.

The Seagulls led three times during the match and it proved third time lucky as Tim Clancy struck late to secure the win for Harry Kenny's side – just as he did at Maginn Park in March.

Bray took the lead after just six minutes as Darragh Noone diverted Kevin Lynch's cross past Derry keeper Ger Doherty with the aid of his backside – a bum rap for the visitors.

Derry hit back, though, and in some style as Nicky Low played a slide-rule ball for Ronan Curtis coming in off the left wing and the Ireland under-21 international finished with a first-time effort.

Nathan Boyle saw what looked a perfectly good goal disallowed before Bray retook the lead on the stroke of half-time as Ryan Brennan nodded home a free header from close range.

Boyle did finally get his goal just a minute into the second half, however, as he controlled Aaron McEneff's pass before shooting on the turn past a flailing Peter Cherrie.

The final word was to go to Clancy, however, as Derry failed to clear Gary McCabe's corner and the former Shamrock Rovers defender hooked the ball home from the floor to seal the win.
